Must meet any of the following criteria and must renounce their original nationality upon approval
Close relatives who are Chinese citizens (such as parents and children who are Chinese citizens)
Having resided continuously in China for at least 8 years, with legal and stable income and living security
Has made significant contributions to China in science, technology, economy, culture, and other areas
Application process:
Domestic applicants submit materials to the municipal public security organs; Overseas applicants can apply through Chinese embassies and consulates
Required documents: foreign passport, permanent residence permit (if any), written application, certificate of no criminal record, etc
Final approval from the Ministry of Public Security, and upon approval, the “Certificate of Naturalization” will be obtained
